ABOUT MARILYN

Hi, I’m Marilyn

To me, migration is not just about paperwork. It is about dreams, opportunities, and family.

Behind every application is a real person: someone hoping to reunite with loved ones, discover a new destination, or move toward a new opportunity. That is why, when you sit across from me, I do not see only a file. I see your story, your questions, and the goal you are working toward.

BVS By Marilyn was born from purpose, faith, and preparation: a place where you can receive clear, organized, and compassionate immigration guidance.

Why BVS By Marilyn Was Created

Guidance that begins by listening to you

Immigration processes can feel overwhelming when they involve forms, requirements, appointments, and a great deal of information that is not always easy to understand.

I created BVS By Marilyn so you would not have to move forward without direction. My purpose is to help you understand your process, organize your information, and prepare for each stage within the scope of the service we work on together.

Before we discuss documents, I want to know who you are, what you hope to accomplish, and what situation you are facing. Good preparation begins with understanding your story.

How I Guide You

I will tell you what I truly see

Trust is not something you ask for. It is something you earn by communicating clearly, even when the answer is not the easiest one to hear.

When I review your situation, I responsibly explain which aspects appear to be on the right track and which ones should be addressed before moving forward. If I can assist you with preparing your forms and documents, I will explain how we can work together.

When a situation requires legal advice or representation, I will also tell you honestly. My responsibility is not to keep you as a client at any cost. It is to help you identify the type of support you truly need.

Much More Than Completing Forms

Thoughtful preparation and personal attention

Completing a form is only one part of the process.

My work begins by listening to you, understanding your objective, and reviewing your information to help ensure that what you submit is clear, consistent, and organized.

I take the time to explain:

  • what we are preparing;
  • why certain information is being requested;
  • which documents may apply to your situation;
  • what the next step is;
  • and what you can expect from the process.

I do not want you to move forward simply repeating terms you do not understand. I want you to participate in your process and know what information you are submitting.

How I Can Support You

My work focuses on three main areas.

Immigration Processes and Visas

I provide guidance and document support for different processes, including:

  • U.S. B1/B2 visitor visas for tourism and business
  • Visa renewals
  • Form DS-160
  • Consular interview preparation
  • Application profile and information review
  • Document and case-file organization
  • Visas for other destinations
  • Residency in the Dominican Republic
  • Family reunification
  • Travel authorizations for minors
  • Processes related to work permits and waivers, within my professional scope

Each service is adapted to your situation and the level of preparation you truly need.

Translation and Interpretation

I also provide Spanish-English and English-Spanish translation and interpretation services.

When language becomes a barrier, I can help you understand information, communicate more clearly, and prepare documents within the services available.

Travel and Experiences

In addition to immigration guidance, I can help organize:

  • personal and family travel;
  • group travel;
  • itineraries;
  • local getaways;
  • stays and seasonal packages.

Travel services are separate from immigration processes. Booking a trip does not include or guarantee visa approval.

My Professional Preparation, at Your Service

Professional training that allows me to guide you responsibly

Certified Immigration Advisor through AIED

I completed the Certified Immigration Advisor Diploma Program through the Academia Iberoamericana de Educación a Distancia, AIED.

This certification strengthens my ability to review information, organize case files, and guide each client with clarity, responsibility, and close attention to the requirements that apply to their process.

Certified Immigration Advisor through ROSSIS Law Firm Business Academy

I also completed the Certified Immigration Advisor academic program through ROSSIS Law Firm Business Academy, with theoretical and practical training in preparing case files for visitor visas to multiple international destinations.

My training covers case-file preparation for destinations such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Schengen Area countries, Australia, Mexico, Panama, and several Caribbean nations.

Professional Interpreter and UCLA Graduate

I am a graduate of UCLA in interpretation.

My education and professional experience allow me to explain complex information more clearly, facilitate communication in both Spanish and English, and help you better understand the documents and stages involved in your process.

I also continue developing my knowledge because requirements, processes, and systems change.

My commitment is to work with current information and reliable sources.

How I Work With You

First, I listen

Before preparing documents, I want to understand your story, your objective, and your questions.

I explain everything clearly

I use simple, direct language. If something is unclear, we review it before continuing.

We prepare carefully

We organize the applicable information and documents to maintain a consistent and orderly process.

I support you within the agreed scope

You receive follow-up during the stages included in your service and access to the available tools for checking your process.

My Commitment to You

Clarity, preparation, and responsible expectations

My commitment is to help you arrive better prepared, with your information organized and a clear understanding of every step we work on together.

The final decision regarding a visa, residency application, or other immigration request belongs exclusively to the corresponding immigration or consular authority.

I cannot control the outcome. What I can do is dedicate myself to the part that is within our control: preparation, consistency, organization, and clarity.

That is the commitment I make to you.

In Their Own Words

Excellent service and follow-up throughout the case. The attention I received was first-class. I recommend her 100%.
